Hong Kong 7’s Latest: Canada Takes Down Argentina

Eight of twelve games have been played in Hong Kong and there has been the first upset of the day. Canada rolled out to a 22-7 lead midway through the second half and held for a 22-21 victory on as Argentina made a very late push.

Chauncey O’Toole scored two tries to lead Canada. The Maple Leafs also got tries from Phil Mack and Ciaran Hearn in the big win.

The rest of the opening day matchups thus far have gone to form as the favorited side has won easily. The tournament is currently at an intermission. Play will pick back up with the four remaining games, including Team USA against Japan, shortly.
